About Florence Price Community Project
This educational program aims to improve the cultural life in the community by the means of providing high quality musical
education to children between the ages 8 to 13
This is a multi disciplinary project that will combine the classical approach to music with elements of popular genres such as Jazz and Pop .
About the founder

Lisett Diop: ( Classical Guitar/ Choir )
Aside from holding a degree in the specialty of Classical Guitar performance at José María Ochoa conservatory in Holguin Cuba after eight years of rigorous Classical Guitar Study, and a five years Classical Voice / Choir Direction program at ISA (Superior Institute for the Arts) in Havana, Lisset obtained in 2022 her diploma in Social Service Work from Seneca College. As a professional singer she toured the world working as a soprano voice for Cuba’s National Choir from 2001 until 2005 and also for “Coro EntreVoces”, a selection of the sixteen best voices of the C.N.C.
In Toronto, from 2008 until 2010 singing also as a soprano, Lisset was part of the internationally acclaimed Canadian Afrocentric Choir “The
Nathaniel Dett Chorale” under the direction of Brainerd Blynden-Taylor, with performances at prestigious events such as “Voices Of The African Diaspora” and Black History Month celebrations.
As an educator, Lisset also worked as a Guitar and Voice teacher at the Ontario Conservatory Of Music from 2008 until 2016.
